 July 1-15 ~ Hear my prayer, O God; give ear to the words of my mouth for:

• Matt Hamsher as he transitions from regional pastor for Ohio Conference to full-time pastor at Longenecker Mennonite Church
• Berean Fellowship, Youngstown, Ohio — Sam Olarewaju, pastor
• Wayside Chapel, Pedro, Ohio — John Kelly, pastor
• Lydia Kuttab Brenneman, Chaplain at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima
• John Nissley, Academic Dean, Winebrenner Seminary
• Ohio Conference members of the Constituency Leaders Council
• Central Christian School

 

July 16-31 ~ Hear my prayer, O God; give ear to the words of my mouth for:

• Wanda Stopher as she transitions from half-time associate pastor at Central Mennonite Church in Archbold, Ohio, and half-time regional pastor for Ohio Conference to full-time regional pastor for Ohio Conference
• MCC Board meeting for MCC Great Lakes, July 18.  Pray for the board as they do their work.
• Berlin Mennonite Church, Berlin, Ohio — Myron Weaver, pastor; Dayna Schrock, Director of Women’s Ministry.  Pray for their Pastoral Search Committee for a new Associate Pastor with emphasis in Youth Ministry. Pray for both the search committee and the person to whom God is calling to the church. And pray for Jesse and Lisa Miller, who are preparing for their five-year mission assignment with Christ for the City International (CFCI) in Costa Rica and Nicaragua. Pray for them in this season of their lives and for the church as they look for ways to be supportive.
• Valley View Mennonite Church, Spartansburg, Pa. — Robb Esh, pastor. Pray for a youth team going to MCC’s SWAP program July 15-20 and for their annual Community Gospel Sing and BBQ on the last Saturday of July.
• Tom Michaels, Chaplain, Hospice of Greater Wayne County
• Haroldo Nunes, Open Arms Ministry. Pray for a Hispanic family whose baby was born with some health issues. Pray that Jesus will give the parents patience and resources to raise and educate her. Also, the newborn will have to have heart surgery in the near future. Pray that God will guide the doctors and nurses to do whatever is needed. Also pray for Brother Nicolas, who recently accepted the Lord and will be baptized in July. Pray that he will be a good influence and witness for Jesus to his family.

• Flat Menno as he continues his travels, visiting congregations in Ohio Conference.
• Bethel Mennonite Church, West Liberty, Ohio — Dave Maurer, pastor; Rick Stoner, associate pastor.  Pray for their 12 Scriptures Series, for baptism and membership classes, for leadership direction discernment, and for living God’s mission in their community.
